Freight wreck injures two on Capitol Limited near Allison Park

Bullet hits woman during car thief pursuit

In Prinavurnia on May 28 a ricocheting bullet from a traffic policeman's revolver struck Mrs. George Coulburn, 29, above the right eye as he tried to stop three alleged automobile thieves. The suspects fled but were later captured by another traffic officer several blocks away.

A man and two women drove a woman to Altoona hospital on Wednesday afternoon seeking medical aid. The woman died after a doctor arrived. the trio fled and authorities await identification. An undertaker was contacted to claim the body. the woman is identified as Mrs Hart, about 30, from unknown home.

Gentleman Yegg Sentenced to Fifty Years in Prison

Boston Billy Williams a noted gentleman burglar real name James Monchan was sentenced in New York to 50 years in the penitentiary for burglary and grand larceny. He pleaded guilty to robbing the Jesuo Livermore home on Long Island of jewelry worth about 200000. He faces six additional indictments for jewel robberies and acted from society gossip. Williams and accomplice Arthur Barry carried out the Livermore break on May 29, waking guests Mr and Mrs Harry Aronsohn and taking jewels, some later returned due to sentimental value.
