Stage veteran Eddie Foy 73 died of heart disease at 8:45 a.m. in his hotel Baltimore suite in Kansas City. He fell ill during a current engagement at the Orpheum Theatre. Mrs. Foy summoned a physician after hypodermic injections failed, and he lingered briefly to bid farewell before death.
