Ship-Plane Mail Service Planned For Continental Mail
New York officials hailed a test of ship to shore mail from the transatlantic liner Île de France as a成功 sign. A seaplane piloted by Commander Louis Demougeot was catapulted from the liner 459 miles off New York and landed in New York bay after about four hours.
