Woman Found Dead Along Tracks In Towanda
In Towanda Pennsylvania on August 11 the body of 38 year old Mrs Frances L Mc Dermott was found along the Lough Valley railroad tracks near town. Her skull showed a fracture and authorities believe a train caused the death though crews reported no contact with a person. She had been married two months.

Six Injured in Stampede at Chicago Packing Plant Fire
Chicago August 11 Six employees of a packing company were injured when a small blaze triggered a stampede to fire escapes. James Pecori leaped from a third floor landing as his clothes caught fire and was believed fatally injured. Firemen attributed the blaze to an ammonia pipe explosion causing the panic and need for first aid.

Trampled to death by team of horses in Philadelphia

Probe crash of interurban cars near South Hills junction
Pittsburgh officials investigated a collision of two interurban street cars late yesterday that injured 41 people. The wreck occurred about 100 yards from the South Hills junction on a single track. He waited weeks for favorable weather and was last seen flying over Txhetlan in Cuyaca state around 9 25 a m. Youth Wounded by Dry Raiders at Indiana Farm
Clarence Smith a 16 year old Hardinsburg farm boy was shot during a raid on his home by federal prohibition agents and is in critical condition. The youth reportedly ran into a shotgun held by agent Charles Leibert during the raid as his father a brother and two others were arrested. His arm was amputated and doctors fear further death from blood loss and shock. The raid yielded a 150 gallon still moonshine and crash. Agents say a threat had warned that someone would be shot if the raid occurred.
