George E. Brennan, longtime Democratic national leader and New York gubernatorial candidate backer, died at John L. Murphy hospital in Chicago at 8:10 AM. He suffered septic poisoning and diabetes, with a kidney condition and infections tracing to tooth extraction. At his bedside were Mrs. Brennan, a daughter Mary, and Rev. Father Scanlon. Funeral rites were noted as administered during critical illness.

Italian Sub Raised After Tragic Adriatic Collision
