A Veterans Day ceremony featured a wreath laid at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument. Officiants included William R. Walker of Chief Cornplanter Post 135, Richard L. English of Dinsmoor Schwing Post 631, and Robert V. Gorsuch of the Pendleton Detachment. Judge Alexander C. Flick Sr. delivered the main address.
Warren Area Joint School committee recommends to the board the construction of a new high school on the Swick site and the employment of Meyer Krider Werle and Ellenberger as architects. The proposal aims for a fifty year, adaptable design with ample playing and parking areas and a non industrial surrounding. The December 10 annual meeting is set at Beaty school.
