Warren board to discuss Mel Anderson underground restaurant plan
The Warren Board of Adjustments meets today to hear Mel Anderson's plan for an underground restaurant on Hickory Street. He has state permission to build a rathshellar at the former Carver Hotel site but faces zoning that requires off street parking. Anderson leases from Emblem Oil Co which recently built a new gas station and parking area on the ground level.
