Warren Borough Council Approves Development and Lease Plans
Warren borough council backed the Warren County Development Association to pursue state industrial aid, aiming to fund a countywide survey. The body approved a five year lease with the YMCA for the canteen in the Y building with annual notice termination, funding about $10,000 for improvements this summer, and potential equity payments if terminated early. They also granted a Memorial Field lease to the Jaycees for a July 4 5 6 rodeo with insured liability limits and cost to the Jaycees of $1. The meeting covered opposition to a rate increase for Manufacturers Light and Heat, street vacate petitions from Struthers Wells, highway funds application, drainage and paving plans, and civil service exam dates.
