Miss America Evelyn Ay to Crown Fourth of July Winner
Evelyn Ay Miss America 1954 from Ephrata will lead the Fourth of July parade and crown the Warren County pageant winner at Beaty Field on July 5. Warren County girls ages 18 to 28 are urged to apply. Ay, born 1933, was Ephrata High School valedictorian 1951, a former Girl Scout and 4-H member, medical technician student at the University of Pennsylvania, sorority member, and plans to resume studies after her Miss America year.
