Warren Borough sees first traffic fatality since 1958 crash

Warren Boroughs fatal crash occurred at 12 17 Saturday morning when a 1960 Falcon sedan driven by Frank Servidio 26 of Myrtle Street went out of control on Conenango avenue and struck a tree. He died at the scene from a crushed skull and broken neck. Two Akeley sisters escaped injury when their car rolled over on Russell Lander road near Russell at 8 40. Linda Stanton driver 17 and Sharon 15 escaped Injury.

Borough Accepts Storm Sewer Bid Amid Parking and Circus Plans

Warren borough council accepted Paul D. Miller’s 3304.94 bid for a storm sewer extension at Gladevale foot, noting all bids were high. The body granted first reading to a two hour parking limit on Pennsylvania Ave and approved using Warren airport for the Jaycees August 3 circus. Richard Bauer, chief scout executive, resigned to join Valley Forge Council in Philadelphia. he and his family will move to Pottstown.
