Pennsylvania Game Commission Sets Tentative 1955 Hunting Openers
At its January 1955 meeting the Pennsylvania Game Commission announced probable opening dates for the 1955 hunting seasons. Likely start dates include October 29 for small game, October 10 for bow deer, November 14 for bears, and November 28 for regular antlered deer, with final rules to be set at the July meeting. The release also cites 1954 small game harvests and deer/killed estimates from game protectors for comparison.
