Omnibus brings bare bones Greek tragedy and more
Television critic notes Omnibus compresses Aeschylus Oresteia to under an hour, trimming Troy, regicide and matricide to a rapid sweep. Cast includes Christopher Plummer as Orestes and Irene Worth as Clytemnestra, with praise for striking moments and critique for losses of dramatic scope. The piece sits alongside The D A s Man television drama based on Harold Danforth and Dewey era undercover cases.
