New Year Voter Registration Rise Noted in Warren County
Dorothy McGarry signed permanent registration with Clerk Evelyn Johnson on her twenty first birthday to guarantee voting eligibility. Since facilities reopened after the fall election, seventeen Democrats and eleven Republicans added to the rolls. Twenty Republicans shifted to Democrats and two former Republicans became non partisans. St John’s Day dinner drew nearly four hundred at Beaty cafeteria. Masons became first non school group to use Warren’s junior high Beaty facility. Members at the speakers table included Henry O. Walker Rev Beech er Rutledge Joseph H. Goldstein Joseph L. Hineman Ivan S Brumagim and Harry C Rogers.
