Cancer research finds factors in lung cancer survival and maternal influence
University of Pennsylvania surgeons analyzed 344 long-past cases to compare extended lung cancer surgery outcomes. Only 6 percent survived five years when cancer invaded blood vessels, versus 75 percent when it did not. Studies also explore vitamin A links to cancer and how maternal age affects offspring cancer risk through shared blood factors.
