Catholic women of the Erie diocese are invited to a weekend retreat at Mercyhurst College in Erie from August 30 to September 1. Interested participants may call Mrs. Charles Musante at 2015 or write to the Retreat Department at Mercyhurst College. Reservations are closing. the August 23-25 weekend is fully booked.
August events include Balloon Contest August 2 and Harmonica and Instrument Playing day August 6. A Fishing Derby at Conemaugh Dam August 7 at 1 p.m. Hobo Show and Bathing Beauty Contest August 8. Still Walking Contest August 9 with events starting 3 p.m. A Bicycle Road-E-O on Beaty parking lot August 14 at 2 p.m.
