Beatrice relocates with her child to Munich after fleeing England to avoid her husband and protect the boy. She hides her marriage, battles loneliness, and contemplates telling her family while considering an arranged separation via a trusted servant who plans a trip to London to confront Hervey and secure the boy’s safety.
