The county Grange held a successful two day meeting with Spring Creek Grange on September 5 and 6. Welcome by brother Phillis and response by brother Crocker opened a program that entertained and instructed attendees. Twelve granges and members from Corry and Spartansburg attended. forty two new members were reported for the last quarter. The next regular meeting is planned for Ackley in December.
The Warren Business University began its eighth year with the largest attendance ever, more than double last year. Additional rooms and teachers have been added as the manager commits to a practical and valuable business education.
In Warren county court Casper Mauer was acquitted of illegal liquor selling with costs divided. Johnson & Olson were found guilty for illegal liquor sales with sentence suspended. Friday saw Fred White fined 25 dollars and jailed one year for assault, battery, and breaking jail. Wm Lathrop fined 10 dollars for larceny and jail breaking, five years. Orra Weller fined 25 dollars and two years six months in prison for bicycle stealing. Claude Baker of Youngsville fined 20 dollars for giving liquor to a minor and 60 days in county jail. J Marsh fined 25 dollars and three months in county jail for stealing shoes at Kinzua. Sheriff Brann and Dr. Arndt took White, Lathrop, and Weller down the river. Louis Stoddard held for trial for attempted homicide involving Nat Rickerson. Ross Rogers sentenced to pay 15 dollars monthly for wife desertion and non-support. John W. Lane sentenced to 10 dollars fine and reform school at Huntingdon. Winford Cross fined 16 dollars. Grand Jury reports record nine true bills and notes care at Rouse Hospital and county jail, plus multiple building and maintenance recommendations for the court house and state hospital.

Clyde A Luce and Margaret A Mead in Garland Aug 28. David Cross and Anna B Grosch in Conewango Sept 4. Deaths: infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Eric O'Dell Warren died Sept 4 at 6 months. Frank Osborn died Sept 5 at Bucher's Mill from typhoid fever aged 58, wife died Aug 26 from same illness. burial at Garland last Saturday.
