Leon MacNutt Returns to Retribution After Desert Journey
Leon MacNutt, the orphan who survived Apache Canyon flood, returns to old Fort Retribution seeking shelter with Captain Cullen and Randy. He had been separated from friends as Fort Retribution moved east and the cavalry unit redeployed. The boy, once called MacDuff by troopers, endures hunger and exhaustion before help from the Fosters and sergeant Kelly restores faith in a new home.
