Poisoned bouquet case notes arsenic amount and intent
Professor W Tilden reported to District Attorney Corkhill that the bouquet given to Guiteau contained over five grains of arsenious acid, enough to kill if swallowed and likely excessive due to petals losing moisture. Exhibits are in the Army Medical Museum as Corkhill pursues the poisoner. Also a visitor recalls Artemus Ward’s grave inscription at Bridgton Maine.
