Glue Plant Fire Ravages Warren injuring three workers
A Thursday morning gas explosion at the Keystone glue plant outside Warren caused a rapid blaze. Three men Gus Johnson Frank Anderson and Richard McIntyre suffered serious burns to the head arms and body. The $35,000 loss is insured and the plant owned by United States Leather Company will likely be rebuilt after insurance adjustment. Second Assistant Chief Norman Spencer led fire crews who arrived after the alarm.
