He previously served as vice president and general manager of the Buffalo Rochester and Pittsburg road. L T Liggatt named secretary and P H R McKnight treasurer of the Cleveland and Marietta company.
Blood Brothers hosiery and underwear mills reopen after a 14 week idle period with five days of operation and 100 workers. Whitaker mills resume with minor wage reductions. Clark and O Neill will start damask and table cloth production next week, while Carson's carpet factory employees are told to be ready to return next week.
Philadelphia report says at Fifty second Street station two freight trains met side by side when a car derailed and struck the engine. Engineer James Hamilton was instantly killed and Fireman Edward O Regin fractured his ankle. The engine and car were badly wrecked.
