New York reports Woodrow Wilson elected president with large Democratic electoral lead. Roosevelt carried Illinois and Michigan while Vermont and Pennsylvania drift. Taft trailing. Congress and state legislatures tilt Democratic with Missouri and New York results signaling broad party gains.

New York voters delivered a decisive Democratic victory with Governor Wilson elected and both state legislative chambers expected to be Democratic. Secretary Mason led the headquarters as returns showed upstate Republican splits contributing to the large upstate plurality. Democrats also elected associate judges of the Court of Appeals.
From Oyster Bay New York November 6 Colonel Roosevelt sent a telegram to Governor Wilson saying the American people have conferred the highest honor in their government and he congratulates him. He also issued a statement accepting the result with good humor and contends the Progressive cause will ultimately prevail for the nation’s well being.
Indiana totals show Wilson leading Roosevelt by 99,289 with 2,500 of 3,172 precincts reporting. Roosevelt gains later over Taft, and total state plurality for Wilson may reach about 125,000. In governor race Ralston leads Beveridge and Durbin with late returns widening his margin.
Complete returns show Rhode Island giving a Democratic presidential candidate for the first time since 1854 with Wilson at 30,299 votes, Taft 27,755, and Roosevelt 16,488. For Congress, Progressives clear only about 3,000. Rhode Island will send two Democrats and one Republican to Congress.
Early Nebraska returns give Wilson a 35 000 to 40 000 lead over Roosevelt and Taft around 706 000. Moorehead Democrats wins governor by about 20 600 over Aldrich Bull Moose and Republican. Senate remains tight with Norris leading Shallenberger by about 3 000, though final results await complete returns.
Early returns from Trenton indicate a 3 to 3 split in Congress with three Democrats and three Republicans. Governor Wilson wins New Jersey by about 25 000 votes, and Democrats appear to carry the legislative ticket ensuring a Democratic U S senator to succeed Briggs, potentially former Congressman Hughes of Paterson.
Chairman McCoombs sent a message to Governor Wilson praising a tremendous plurality in New York and a 60 000 vote lead in Massachusetts plus 25 000 in Minnesota calling it a clean sweep. The note notes New York and other state results as confirmation of victory.
Roosevelt won Oyster Bay by 292 over Wilson, with totals 510 for Roosevelt, 218 for Wilson, and 67 for Taft. In his own district Roosevelt led 231 to 86 with Taft at 28.

California likely to show a 12 000 plurality for Wilson as 1 200 precincts remain incomplete. Southern California backs Roosevelt with a 12 000 margin. San Francisco approves Wilson by 10 379. Northwestern division had 209 completions for 419 barrels, with 16 dry and 16 gas wells. Venango Clarion and Forest counties added five wells with four barrels less output.
Condensed results from Buffalo Utica and other New York cities show Wilson leading in many precincts with Taft and Roosevelt also earning notable totals. Governors race shows Sulzer ahead in several areas while Straus and Hedges trail in others. Cleveland reports Wilson victory by a wide margin.
