Congress approved a post office bill setting rural free delivery carriers' salaries at up to 720 dollars annually starting July 1. They may carry merchandise for hire only with patron request and if it does not interfere with duties. Carriers must maintain their own equipment and are barred from acting as paid agents for outside firms.
Gazette reports a Pittsburg show last month pleased crowds with a full old-time circus lineup plus additions. The menagerie drew visitors before arena acts and featured horseback feats from an eight year old girl to skilled high school ponies. Flying rings, trapeze, and tumbling by the Nelson family drew strong applause. The event occurred Saturday May 14 in South Side.
The Warren Pennsylvania educational authorities adopt phonetic spelling experimentally with about a dozen words including program tho and thro. Debaters argue it may help teaching children to spell by sounds but many see little merit in replacing established spellings.

Anna L Berry aged 43 near Oil City May 3 1904 from heart trouble. George H Holman aged 72 formerly of Warren county died Feb 28 1904 in Dansville Ill.
Transfers filed across multiple towns show Gust Lindquist and wife selling to Michael Wagner in Warren for 550 dollars and Caroline W Gemmill selling to Ira Hoff in Warren for 32 500. Other deeds include John Gray to George Moorer in Brokenstraw for 425, A C Blodgett to C A Carlson in Brokenstraw for 800, and many more across Pine Grove Warren Sugar Grove and Kinzua with sums from 80 to 3 375 dollars.
Oakland Cemetery lot owners must pay the Secretary now to ensure mowing and care for the coming season. Unpaid lots will not be mowed. By order of the Trustees. C. C. Thompson, Secretary.

The jail project is stalled and unlikely to be ready for three months. A circus and two baseball games between Warren and Titusville await next Saturday.
