State Hospital Sewage Plan and Conewango Pollution Report

Trustees publish civil engineer William B. Landreth of Warners New York report on proposed sewage disposal at the State Hospital and Conewango creek pollution. He says $10,000 may not cover a first class plant yet hospital sewage to not noticeably contaminate river a mile below outlet and oil refineries are major pollutants. He urges chemical disposal works near the outlet with 120000 gallon tank, costing about $10,000, and argues against polluting streams in principle. He notes refinery waste dominates pollution at Warren and calls for broader safeguards. Additional ads follow including oil cloths linoleum and a vacancy for a good cook.
