Harrisburg May 8 with broad support from conservation and sportsmen groups, Pennsylvania moves to acquire Cook Forest spanning 7619 acres across Jefferson Forest and Clarion counties. If bought it would become a premier state park, rival Yellowstone, housing ancient white pines 250 feet tall and seven feet in diameter, attracting visitors and generating revenue to cover maintenance and roads.
