Ex Senator Eli Saulsbury died at his Dover residence at 12 15 PM yesterday following a period of unconsciousness since Tuesday night. Born December 29 1817 near Marshy Hope Bridge in Kent County he served as U S Senator after succeeding his brother Chancellor Saulsbury and was re elected in 1877 and 1883. He remained a bachelor and was the last surviving of five brothers.
