A quartet of young Burville men led by John Digby abandon revelry to fund a charitable mission. They reform by saving liquor and tobacco money to aid destitute townsfolk, visiting widows and the elderly, building a relief fund that grows to forty dollars weekly with twenty-two members, and inspiring local clergyman Meekly to urge others to go and do likewise.
