Obituary of James B. Holt of Glade Township
James B Holt of Glade Township on Conewango Creek died March 5 1905 at 420 AM of pneumonia. Born August 11 1826 in Ashton England he was the last survivor of the William and Ann Holt family. He lived on the homestead 76 years and leaves a wife two children Jennie Beatrice and James Walter. Funeral March 7 conducted by Rev W A Bennett U B Church. burial in Oakland.

Narrow Escape After Pittsfield Train Collision
Two engines collided head on at Pittsfield yesterday and were brought to Kane this morning. The passenger engine lost its cab and front end was stove in while the fireman rolled in deep snow. Engineer McLaughlin escaped when the reverse lever dog failed. he was hurled from the cab window but survived. The freight engine also suffered heavy damage in the wreck.
