Recreation Park to Open Next Week with Chas Simpson Owner
The town awaits the opening of Recreation Park next week under proprietor Chas Simpson. The grounds appear more attractive than before, offering a prime spot for a day of rest. Weather shows need for rain as meadows thrive. Memorial Day passed quietly with no special exercises. Sherwood Simmons placed flags on graves, and twelve young ladies adorned cemeteries with flowers for fallen soldiers. Several residents are in Warren this week as witnesses in a suit about Spencer Walton farm building fire last fall. Bernice Baldwin will join Ashtabula Ohio orchestra as pianist from September.
