At Ridgway on July 24 Paul Glatz aged 35 was caught slashing a woman's dress at the P R R station. He confessed to two years of such acts at St Marys and was remanded to jail after an attempted hanging following his arrest.

Mrs. Florence Goodwill of Garland Irvington area jumped from a passenger train last Wednesday night after missing her stop. The train halted after signals from passengers and backed to the scene. She suffered a broken collar bone a fractured shoulder blade and multiple cuts and bruises. She is reported out of danger and expected to leave the hospital by week’s end.
