Temperance Split Over Carpet Controversy in Warren
The Good Templars of Warren divided into three ply and two ply factions over a carpet quarrel. About thirty charter members formed a new organization last week meeting in Burgess' Hall. The dispute centered on whether a two ply carpet sufficed, while the three ply faction seceded. The note ends urging unity for the temperance cause despite a petty dispute over a carpet.
