Lightning strike wrecks $6500 touring car at Mt. Vernon hospital
Dr Sherman Leach watched his new touring car be struck by lightning from the Mt. Vernon hospital window. The car sped down a hill and four terraces, crashing into an oak 100 feet away. The chauffeur, leaping aboard, attempted to brake, saved children by pulling the wheel, but was thrown clear as the car wrecked the tree. He escaped unharmed.

Inmate John Goulish Hangs Self at State Hospital
John Goulish, a 51 year old coal miner from Onondaga Jefferson County, inmate of the State Hospital at North Warren, hanged himself Friday morning at 4 o clock using a sheet fragment in a Sixth Ward toilet. He had been confined since August 1910 and had previously suffered a mental low mood serious enough for incarceration.

Grace M. Vogt 35, acquitted of willful murder of her husband near Union City, freed last Thursday from the State Hospital for the Insane in North Warren after a court order by Judge Walling.
