Emily Chubbuck Judson known as Fanny Forester dies at her Hamilton New York residence after a lingering illness at about forty. Widow of Adoniram Judson missionary to Burmah she rose to literary fame writing as bhorester and later as Fanny Forester before dedicating life to missions with Judson. Born in Easton Madison County she married Judson in 1846 embarked for India on the brig Bainuil Hall returning to the United States after his death in 1860.
