Waterford Dispatch notes repairs needed on the line toward Jamestown
Our Telegraph reports Mr Pew will be along soon to repair a badly maintained section of the line between here and Jamestown. It remains unclear if work is active north of Jamestown. If repairs hold, the line may yield more than expenses. A late item notes Dr Morrow’s public lectures at the Court House funded by subscription with another temperance address scheduled. Rev Cowan, formerly of this paper, retires from the Erie Constitution. Rev John Sailor of this place suffers a serious knee injury leaving home for an evening meeting and may be housebound weeks. Fare changes on the old line to Dunkirk are noted prior to recent shifts by new proprietors.
