Bradford Allows Yearly Water Rent Payments
Lunesley Bradford reports Bradford council recently passed an ordinance enabling residents to pay a full year's water rent in advance. Previously the city treasurer could not accept such prepayments, forcing multiple trips to the city hall. The Bradford rates are low enough that a yearly payment is about a monthly gas bill in winter, avoiding quarterly penalties. The Warren reader would need a mortgage to cover a yearly advance.
