Miss Eona Woop travels to New York for a visit while several locals depart for Cuba Florida and other destinations. Court house audits and library hall entertainments are noted along with church and hospital events and the Warren Emergency Hospital annual meeting details.
A 3 year old boy, Howard Benjamin Lynch, fell through a suspension bridge into the Allegheny River near Warren and was drowned. The search found his body near the river bank after ice clearance. The coroner and jury found the death accidental and unsafe bridge conditions near the roadway were noted. The family, new residents, prepared for burial in Brocton New York after funeral plans.
A plea urges the Bridge Committee to immediately fix narrow holes along the river suspension bridge to prevent further deaths. The author also calls for electric lights along the span, noting darkness at the north end from Front Street and insufficient illumination from the Richland arc light.
