Gas Explosion Fatal to Erie Doctor at Benson Home
Erie February 13 Dr Louis Hensler age 60 physician living at Mrs Benson's boarding house on French Street died at Hamot Hospital from injuries after a gas explosion that wrecked the Benson home. A rubber hose came off a gas stove and fumes ignited from an oil lamp causing the blast. He escaped a doorway then leaped from a window to a neighboring roof. The house was badly damaged.

Tragedy in Olean Ends With Suspect's Death
