Tower of Babel Unearthed at Arbela by Mr Place

No Election Held for State Treasurer as Legislatures Adjourn

Harrisper January 20 There was no election for State Treasurer yesterday as both houses adjourned without convening a convention. In the House 42 Democrats and 28 Republicans were present. adjournment passed 43 to 27 with one Republican voting yes. In the Senate 9 Democrats and 10 Republicans were present. the vote failed for lack of a quorum and no convention was held. Mr Gordon presided as Speaker pro tem. A new law is now required for the election, Magraw holding over.
