NEWSPAPER PLANT BURNED IN ERIE PA BUILDING FIRE
The Erie Evening Herald office a four story building in Erie Pennsylvania was nearly destroyed by a Tuesday morning fire. The attic housed old paper and files and spread rapidly through the structure erected in 1873. Firefighters battled the flames for about an hour and by nine it was under control though machinery remained inaccessible and the loss rate was estimated at least seventy five thousand dollars.
