Geo M Pelton special agent filed against Clifton E Snyder of Warren Grocery Company for selling adulterated and misbranded Waldorf catsup. Witnesses testified August 15 1907. state chemist James Evans found benzoate of soda at .230 percent. Judge Plumer Mead fined Snyder 360 dollars plus costs. no manufacturer guarantee.

Warren Council Eyes Water Works Filtration Plan

J H Purdy of American Water Works met Warren Council on December 18 to discuss building a $100,000 filtration plant at Gladerun and sourcing water from Morrison Run and the Allegheny River. The plan promises high fire protection pressure, a new feed line on Pennsylvania Avenue, duplicate pumps, and abandonment of island wells. Action awaited after a special committee report. bond ordinance defeated on third reading. no decision on the Water Company proposal.
