The Colgate Hoyt and tug Vigilant searched for No 116 amid a northeast storm after the hawser broke at dawn. The 256 foot by 28 foot vessel carried about 3000 tons of iron ore and was valued at 960000.
The Ohio Supreme Court yesterday dismissed the bribery case in which Attorney General Monnett accused the Standard Oil company. The case cited a $400,000 bribe offer from Charles Squire of New York to influence default handling of several pending suits. The dismissal ends the bribery attempt involving Squire and linked officials of Standard Oil.
