McFarland Not Guilty in Hospital Nurse Case
In a quarter sessions trial at Hinckley Court the jury found Margaret McFarland not guilty and placed prosecution costs on the county. Emma Long was discharged after the jury could not reach a verdict in a separate Charles VicFarland case. Dorothy Rice, a patient at the State Hospital for the Insane, alleged mistreatment by the two nurses amid testimony from other staff and hospital officials.

Sheriff Sale Disposes Six Parcels of Warren and Surrounding Townships
In a Monday afternoon sheriff sale at the courthouse corridor six parcels changed hands. Warren lots on Frank street sold for 60 and 850 dollars respectively, a 40 by 106 foot parcel with a two story cement house brought 575, and A I L Schellhammer of Warren purchased the above. Freehold township yielded 42 acres of farm land bid in by Attorney C E Bordwell for 360. Sugar Grove properties including 2 acres with a one and a half story house and 36.87 perches of land formerly the W F Mix property went to C M Short of Sugar Grove Savings Bank for 2370.

Otto Honhart Killed in Refinery Explosion
Otto Honhart of Nesmith Place was instantly killed at 3 45 pm today in a benzine tank explosion at Superior Oil Refinery. The tank was being filled and the benzine likely overheated. fire followed and consumed the tank contents. He was about 28, recently married.

Canton Ohio December 3 J P Miller a rolling mill worker and newlywed told Judge Quinn he gave his wife a good spanking after she opened his mail. Miller admitted the act and quipped that their dog gets more care than a child.

A White House corridor used for public access was blocked off by 6 Jer of Secretary Norton to serve as an additional waiting area. Mrs Mary Baker G Eddy Dies After Pneumonia Attack
Mary Baker G. Eddy, noted founder of the Christian Science movement, died after a pneumonia attack. The death occurred at her home in Chestnut Hill, with church and family leaders expressing sorrow and praise for her long service and influence.

Mrs May Baker Glover Eddy known as discoverer and founder of Christian Science died at her Beacon Street mansion in Newton Chestnut Hill at 10 45 PM Saturday aged 89. Medical examiner George L West of Newton Center said pneumonia caused death after about a week of illness. Eddy was born in Bow New Hampshire July 16 1821 and would be in her 80th year.

Dr. C Montgomery, a resident physician, battled an insane patient, Mike Markutse, in a hospital corridor until both were incapacitated. Markutse died two hours later from Brights disease, after being restrained in bed following a 15 minute struggle with hospital staff.
