The meeting convenes at Warren Court House on the last Saturday of each month at 1 PM. President is W. B. Acocks, Secretary Willis Cowan, Treasurer B. Morris. All farmers are invited to attend.

Arlington reports to Sheriff Templeton that Quinn, a rancher near Livingston Montana, killed his wife and five children with an axe. The killer was found in a room eating from a child's arm and was shot dead by a neighbor in self defense. Villagers describe the scene as horrific with severed limbs.
Charles Warefield, a leading citizen, was arrested by U S Marshal Furay in Butte on August 25 charged as the leader of eight masked men who held up the Butte and Helena stage between Boulder and Jefferson City in November 1884. The holdup aimed to release Murphy and others to continue to Boulder for trial.
Houstox Texas August 25 There is every reason to believe a strike will be started by the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers on the Southern Pacific. Four engineers were discharged for good cause while some were reinstated. They demanded pay for layoff time which was refused. After talks between General Manager Kruttschmitt and the grievance committee the company offered arbitration but the engineers refused.
