The partnership between Willis Cowan and Dwight Cowan dissolved on August 10 1905 by mutual consent. All debts and accounts will be settled by Willis Cowan. Dwight Cowan and Enos T. Drum will continue printing and publishing Warren Matt and related job printing as Cowan & Drum at the old location 307 Second Street, settling accounts after the dissolution.

Fires Put Out In Town Areas With Heavy Loss
The fire department fought three incidents last week. An old barn in the Fourth ward near the electrical light plant burned but adjoining property was saved. The Grandin mill at Eagle Rock burned last Monday afternoon prompting prompt response. A West End fire destroyed Charles Vrenna’s Pine Street home and contents after a lamp exploded, forcing the family to flee.

Too Much Stock Arrest in Warren Fraud Case
James A. Weile of Warren was arrested on a fraud charge from 1903 when ten Jefferson County Gas Co shares were issued to Perry D. Clark F A Hall and James Edwards. He was held for trial next month in Justice Perry's court under 2500 bail with Hinckley Noyes and Alexander for the prosecution and Schofield Swanson Higgins for the defense.

Destructive Fire Destroys Eagle Rock Saw Mill
A large saw mill at Eagle Rock Venango county on the Allegheny river belonging to Hyde & Coutt of Ridgway burned last Monday noon. A warehouse and a car of lumber were lost. Total loss exceeds $30,000 with $16,000 insured. Lumber owned by Grandin Lumber Co. Readied by citizens and railroad crews, the fire was controlled by 6 PM and the mill will be rebuilt soon.

Infant Dies in North Warren August 1905
In North Warren on August 15 1905 the infant daughter of Harry and Grace Bennett Curtis aged 16 days. Mr J H Hand died at Dunkirk New York on Tuesday August 22 after a long illness with Brights disease. Members of Warren Commandery Knights Templar will attend the funeral today Thursday with burial in Easton Pennsylvania Friday. The remains of Mrs W H Williams formerly Corydon passed through Warren last Saturday and funeral held at Corydon. Mr John Ohman died North Warren last Thursday night August 17 aged 67 burial Russell cemetery last Saturday afternoon.
