Gilbert Weiler and Wallace Mead of Conewongo Township have purchased Ross Kerr’s sand and gravel property on East Fifth Street and will run the business. Kerr retires after fourteen years, retaining five acres. Funeral services for John O'Brien of Irvington were held at the Catholic Church then interred in Warren after a brief illness Friday.

Abbott in Marysville California on March 14 1905 widow Mary E Scho field in Philadelphia on April 5 1905 Mrs J W Lee of Pittsburgh buried in Franklin April 1905 Eliza Graves Valentine age 74 of Warren wife of Robert L Valentine and M F Morton of Spring Creek Pa with burial details all noted in Warren area notices.
A long letter from YMCA Secretary H E Dodge urges securing Recreation Park as a permanent public playground. It outlines purchase options by Mr B W Rogers or tax collector R H Winger and proposes a self perpetuating board to manage and fund maintenance with rentals and subscriptions. The plan would keep the park as a public asset, not borough property.
A seven coach Erie Railroad special carrying officials including President Underwood halted at Oil City last Monday. Chief Engineer F L Stuart said a new line down the Allegheny from Salamanca through Oil City will be built with surveys confirming the route. The path adds six miles versus Salamanca to Mead Ville but offers a gentler grade. Councilmen Phillips and Cousins bought a team in Buffalo for the hook and ladder track. The Violet Social Club hosted by the Misses Cady on Frank Street East Side. Mrs Belford Fench of Erie visits Mrs Fanny Miller on East Side. Mr and Mrs G H Denham have returned from California.
