Old Civil War Envelopes Revealed at Literary Junk Shop
A New York writer describes a three volume relic from 1860s America housed in Exeter’s Literary Junk Shop. The collection contains 1500 illustrated envelopes from both Union and Confederate sides, showing political caricatures, patriotic motifs, and scenes of women supporting soldiers.
