Twenty Tons to the Acre Ensilage Corn on Warren Farm
On the Wetmore Farm Charles Lott shows a first crop of ensilage corn yielding about twenty tons per acre. The silo houses a tall 17 by 26 foot structure. corn is cut and stored with temperatures rising to 160 degrees to cook and ferment safely.
