Bell Lewis and Yates confront obstacles as plans to construct a road to reach the market stall amid local opposition and municipal red tape. Officials cite funding and right of way issues delaying progress.
Line to Warren would open outlet to N S Central
A Pittsburg Times correspondent details the Bell Lewis and Yates coal group's freight disputes with railroads. Discrimination by road owners, combined with self owned mines and lines, curbed sales. The plan is a new Bell Lewis line from Warren to Dunkirk to reach Lake Port and the New York Central, bypassing independent roads.
