Last Saturday at about two o clock p m a brakeman atop a freight car near the Conewango trestle below Russell was struck by the structure and knocked down. The engineer believed he avoided collision and the man fell off striking his head as the train continued. Taken to the Russell hotel a physician was summoned and surgeons said head injuries were severe but could heal with good care. The injured man is Eugene Weileman of Sinclairville.
