Narrow gauge line urged from Titusville to 646 and Erie
The editorial argues for building a narrow gauge railroad from Titusville to 646 and on to Erie to boost local optimism and help Warren. It notes Garfield’s naming, rapid land value rises around 646, and the oil price downturn harming producers in Bradford Richburg and Titusville while praising rail links as a possible relief for crowded Warren.
NEW RAILROAD TO Garfield Opens Up Warren Drainage Role
The narrow gauge Warren and Farnsworth Valley Railroad is under rapid construction from Clarendon to Garfield in Cherry Grove. Manager P H Towel has 300 men at work and aims to have the line running by August, possibly sooner. The ten and a half mile route centers the latest development and is likely to extend as demand grows, funded and controlled entirely by Warren interests.

Fabulous oil prospect drives land fever in a lone case
A report says a large well on lot 619, near lot 646, will match the latter’s production. Attempts to hide output by plugging failed as gas was too strong. Excitement remains high in the region with offers of 700 an acre rejected. This appears to be a single extraordinary case amid rising land values.
